Grieb good to go for ArenaBowl XVIII this Sunday on NBC

PHOENIX – San Jose quarterback MARK GRIEB will try to remain the only starting quarterback of all eight playoff teams to not throw an interception in the postseason when he plays in ArenaBowl XVIII this Sunday, June 27 at 4 p.m. ET on NBC.

Grieb has tossed 72 passes in the two playoff games and, dating back to the regular season, has thrown 139 consecutive passes without being intercepted. In 12 starts against Arizona as a SaberCat, Grieb has completed 237-of-401 for 2,883 yards, 61 touchdowns and only two interceptions.

Grieb is on his way to the ArenaBowl for the first time in his 7-year AFL career. On July 12, 2002, Grieb sustained a broken collarbone in Arizona in the next to last game of the regular season and missed San Jose's playoff run to its first League title, a 52-14 win against the Rattlers in San Jose.
