AFL I Arena Football League (1987-2008)

ArenaBowl XVIII officially a sellout

June 26, 2004 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I) News Release

PHOENIX – ArenaBowl XVIII has officially sold out. AFL fans snatched up the last 150 tickets remaining on Saturday for the game pitting the San Jose SaberCats (13-5) against the Arizona Rattlers (13-5). The two teams will square off at 1 p.m. PT on Sunday at America West Arena. The game will be broadcast nationally on NBC. As of Noon PT Saturday, 17,036 tickets had been purchased for ArenaBowl XVIII.

Arizona Rattlers Ticket Manager AMY NAPLES said that although the game was officially sold out, arena officials were putting about 100 restricted view seats, priced at $25 each, on sale Sunday morning at 9 a.m. The restricted view seats would only be available at the America West Arena Box Office. "Due to the incredible demand for ArenaBowl tickets, we are trying to do everything possible to accommodate as many fans as possible," Naples said.

When suite ticket holders, media and other credentialed personnel are included, Sunday's announced attendance will be the largest AFL crowd in America West Arena history and will most likely be the fifth largest crowd in ArenaBowl history.
