
Grey Cup to make Appearance at Winterlude

OTTAWA â The Ottawa Renegades, proud hosts of the 2004 Grey Cup Festival, are pleased to announce the club's official sponsorship of Winterlude.
The annual celebration of winter, hosted by the National Capital Commission, will be held this year on three consecutive weekends from February 6 through February 22.
Throughout the festival, the Renegades will have an interactive display located next to Dows Lake Pavilion. Included among the features are appearances by Renegades players and Ruffy, the team mascot. The Renegades display will be open each Saturday and Sunday of the festival from noon until 3 p.m.
A bonus feature will be the appearance of the Grey Cup, championship trophy of the Canadian Football League, on display February 14 and February 15 from noon until 3 p.m.
The same Grey Cup trophy will be presented to a winning team on Sunday, November 21 at Frank Clair Stadium when the Renegades and the City of Ottawa host the Grey Cup Game.
"The Renegades are excited to be involved in Winterlude, and we're proud to be putting the Grey Cup on display at such a prestigious event," said Brad Watters, Renegades and Grey Cup 2004 president. "This is a tremendous opportunity for us to be part of the Ottawa community. We're looking forward to the launch of our 2004 season, and wrapping it up with the Grey Cup game, the largest outdoor sporting event in Canada."
The Grey Cup Festival begins in Ottawa on Wednesday, November 17 at celebration venues located throughout the city core.
