Grand Rapids Drive News Release
Grand Rapids, Mich. - Nov. 25,2014- After selling out of all available tickets to the public for the inaugural home opener the Grand Rapids Drive announced today that they have released additional seating in anticipation of heavy walk up traffic for Wednesday's game against the LA D-Fenders, the LA Lakers' affiliate, on November 26, 2014.
A limited number of tickets are however still available through Purple Community, the Drive's partner for the home opener. Purple Community's tickets include an exclusive on-court group photo after the game, a meet-and-greet with two players and all proceeds go to Van Andel Institute. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children 13 and younger. Fans can purchase tickets through purplecommunity.org.
"It's always great to be in a position where demand is so high that we need to release additional inventory because our first ever home game is a sell out, President Steve Jbara said. The city of Grand Rapids has really embraced the Drive and the excitement continues to build around the team. I'm very happy for my staff; they have worked extremely hard the past few months getting ready for Wednesday's game."
The Drive will play their second game Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at 7 PM against the Iowa Energy, the Memphis Grizzlies' affiliate. Tickets for that game are still available. Saturday's Family Night, which includes a family ticket offer, will also play tribute to the Pistons Bad Boys Era, with special appearances by some of the original Bad Boys. To purchase, call 844-GR-DRIVE or email ticketinfo@nbagrandrapids.com with any ticketing questions.
