Gourde, Gauthier-Leduc and Steeves named TELUS three stars for December

BOUCHERVILLE, Tuesday, January 3, 2012 - Yanni Gourde, Jérôme Gauthier-Leduc and Robert Steeves today were named the TELUS three stars for December.

Victoriaville Tigres forward Yanni Gourde is the first star after having retaken the scoring lead following a month in which he tallied seven goals and sixteen helpers in ten games. Gourde registered at least two points in six games while also enjoying two five-point outings. Finally, he recorded two game-winners.

Rimouski Océanic defenseman Jérôme Gauthier-Leduc is the second star. In nine games, the offensive-minded defenseman scored five goals and added seven assists, a better than one point per game output (1.33). Moreover, he posted an excellent +7 rating.

Acadie-Bathurst backstop Robert Steeves is the third star. Steeves was spectacular during the month of December, registering seven wins in as many games while posting a 2.55 goals-against-average and .927 save percentage. Acadie-Bathurst has been red-hot of late with 8 wins in its last ten games.
