Gordon, 24 Players Represent ECHL At IIHF World Championships In Germany

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL is represented by 24 players and former ECHL player and coach Scott Gordon, who is the head coach of the United States team, in the 2010 International Ice Hockey Federation World Championships that began on Friday in Cologne, Gelsenkirchen and Manheim, Germany.
There is a former ECHL player on 12 of the 16 teams led by Latvia with four players and Italy with three players.
Andrei Mezin of Belarus is making his seventh appearance in the World Championships while Herbert Vasiljevs of Latvia is playing in his sixth consecutive tournament.
