MARYSVILLE, CALIFORNIA: The Marysville Gold Sox decided to do something special for two Loma Rica boys. "We all have to stick together as a community said," VP/GM Michael Mink, "It's one thing to lose everything and it's very heartwarming to see young kids going out of their way to help someone in need. We must lead by example to give fortune to the unfortunate."
Loma Rica third grader, Blaze, has recently lost everything in the Cascade Fire. When asked, he stated that the one thing he missed most is his signed Gold Sox baseball. Upon hearing this, Rex, another Loma Rican resident, decided to give his own signed Gold Sox baseball to Blaze.
After hearing this, the Marysville Gold Sox decided to do something special for both boys. VP/GM Michael Mink, accompanied by player, Brendon Nelson, made the trip to Loma Rica on Monday afternoon to surprise them with signed Gold Sox baseballs, t-shirts, and Family 4-Packs for Opening Night. Both boys were ecstatic to receive their gifts. "We wanted to do something special for these young boys after hearing their story and we're so glad they loved their gifts" said Mink.

CASA DE ESPERANZA
This summer, the Marysville Gold Sox visited Casa de Esperanza to hand out all of the incredible stuffed animals that our fans donated at each game. We are currently still accepting gently used stuffed animals/blankets for children at Casa de Esperanza in the off season. Big or small, every donation will comfort a child who has just gotten out of an abusive situation. Donations can be dropped off at our office on 429 10th Street in Marysville.
