Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox greet a young fan

MARYSVILLE, CALIFORNIA: The Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox and The Happy Viking recently hosted Fan and Media Day, an exclusive event for season ticket holders and company partners. "Fan and Media Day is our way of letting our fans get a glimpse of what the upcoming season will bring. We're glad we could put this event on for our community," said VP/GM Michael Mink.
An estimated, 1,100 fans gathered at Colusa Casino Stadium on Sunday, May 27th to celebrate the upcoming season. Mr. G, along with new and returning Gold Sox players greeted fans and signed autographs at the gate as the first card in our trading card series was given handed out. Fans were also treated to a free tri-tip dinner, courtesy of the Happy Viking and the Twin Cities Rivalry was re-ignited for a night as the Gold Sox played a 4-inning exhibition game against the Yuba City Bears 18U team. "I want to thank Sandee, Chris, and their entire staff for all their hard work and dedication to make sure everything ran smoothly," said Mink.
The Gold Sox host Opening Day (presented by Colusa Casino) on Friday, June 1st against the 2017 GWL Champion Medford Rogues. Season tickets and single-game tickets are on sale now at www.goldsox.com. For more information about the upcoming season, call 530.741.3600 or email team@goldsox.com.
OPENING DAY PARADE
The Gold Sox will hold the 3rd Annual Opening Day Parade on Friday, June 1st at 2:00PM. The parade will start at the Habitat for Humanity and follow D Street to Colusa Casino Stadium. For more information, or to participate in the parade, contact John Nicoletti at 530.701.1773.
