TAMPA - When the Tampa Bay Storm host the New Orleans VooDoo Friday, May 9th fans are encouraged to Go Green with many different activities. Fans that Go Green will receive free tickets to the Storm - VooDoo game.
There are several ways to Go Green. The first two activities encourage fans to recycle. Pro Shred will give a ticket to every fan that brings in an old phone book for shredding. Secondly, fans can bring their old electronics for recycling. All fans that bring electronics for recycling Friday night will receive four tickets to the Storm game that evening.
All recycling efforts will take place on the Chrysler/Jeep Plaza as recycling begins two hours prior to kickoff - 5:30 p.m.
Two entirely separate activates encourage fans to help lower emissions and to aid in the prevention of air pollution. Any fan that takes public transportation, i.e.: bus, trolley or streetcar, will receive a voucher to get into the game simply by asking the driver for a one. Additionally, anyone the rides a bicycle to the game will receive a free ticket to the Storm - VooDoo game. Secure bicycle parking is available on-site.
In addition Waste Services, of Florida, Inc., will sponsor the "Recycling Minute." For one minute during the fourth quarter ushers and staff will work the aisles to collect cans and bottles.
The 2008 Storm Season, presented by Champs Sports, Where Sport Lives, returns to the St. Pete Times Forum Monday, May 9th as the Storm take on the New Orleans VooDoo at 7:30 p.m. Single tickets and tailgate packages are on sale now at the McDonald's Box Office at the St. Pete Times Forum, ticketmaster.com and through Ticketmaster by phone at 813.287.8844 or 727.898.2100, or by calling 813.301-6600. Tailgate packages are priced at $25 and include game ticket, barbecue from Shane's Rib Shack, beer, wine and soda.
