
Glory To Hold Open Tryout May 19

ASHBURN, VA - May 10, 2007-The Washington Glory, the newest member of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) softball league, announced today that they will hold an open tryout for one roster spot for the 2007 team on Saturday, May 19 at 10am at George Mason University's softball complex.
The Glory will look to fill one roster spot with an individual from the tryout. The tryouts are open to all women who are at least 21 years old and have completed their college ability. Those athletes still in college and competing are not allowed to try out due to NCAA regulations.
"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for players to compete for a spot on the team in front of the Washington Glory front office staff," said Paul Wilson, owner and general manager of the Glory. "We've put together an outstanding team for our inaugural season. Our players are some of the best in the world. We're excited about opening up this opportunity to a stand-out player who wants that rare special chance to make it into the pro league."
The tryout is free for participants who register by 5pm EDT on May 16, and $35 for those who walkup or register after 5pm May 16. To register, participants can download the registration form online at www.washingtonglory.com, or call the team office at 703.889.8870.
