Richmond Renegades forward Andre Gill has been selected as the Sher-Wood SPHL Player of the Week for the week ending January 5, 2008. The Renegades forward had three goals and one assist during the week.
On Thursday Gill scored a goal and an assist en route to a 7-4 loss in Huntsville. He added two goals at home on Saturday to help the Renegades pick up their fourth victory in their past five games.
Gill becomes the second Renegades player this season to be honored as the Sher-Wood SPHL Player of the Week.
The Renegades play this Wednesday at home against the Fayetteville FireAntz. It is the first Wacky White Wednesday sponsored by the Richmond Coliseum. Beer will be $2 and hotdogs only $1.
Saturday the Renegades are at home against the visiting Knoxville IceBears. This will be the last home weekend date the Renegades will play in January. It is CarPool duck night with the first 1,500 fans receiving a duck courtesy of CarPool.
