Atlanta Vision News Release

The ABA Gwinnett Gwizzlies organization are prepared to make many changes to win the 2005 ABA title next season, but unprepared to depart with it's team advisor, former Boston Celtic great and future Hall of famer Dennis Johnson. According to Gwizzlies sources Dennis Johnson name has been mention for several NBA coaching jobs.Gwizzlies officials think once a NBA team name Johnson as it's coach, they will be getting two for the price of one. They would get a mature, good Head coach and direct access to a minor league team choice ballplayers and a place to develop their ballplayers with the minor league ABA Gwizzlies.Dennis Johnson not only has been a Head Coach in the NBA ,but also a Head Coach the CBA as well, the same path Los Angeles Lakers Coach Phil Jackson traveled earlier in his coaching career.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
