Get an in-shape Shawn Kemp no. 1 recruiting priority

June 1, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Atlanta Vision News Release

The ABA Gwinnnet Gwizzlies have activately pursued former NBA All-Star Shawn Kemp. The franchise have spoke to several sources concerning Kemp and think the Gwizzlies coach Roy Rogers is just the person to help Kemp get back to top playing form.

Noting that Kareem played until age 42 and Kelvin Willis and Karl Malone are 40 plus the team think that Kemp at age 33 has a lot of pro basketball left in him. The Gwizzlies also are interested in Eric Chenowith and Chris Lang, two other free agents who have played in the NBA.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
