Georgia Gwizzlies News Release
Macon, GA. The ABA Georgia Gwizzlies professional basketball team have reached out to people worldwide to lend a helping hand to people struck by the tornado in Macon this past weekend. According to Embry Malone, team owner, "The Macon Telegraph said that the city suffered a loss of at least $75 million dollars and we want to let the trumpet sound hoping that the sports community worldwide, Pepperdine alumni, and other organizations will lend a helping hand. We're going to do everything we can to help." For more information, visit www.gwizzliesbasketball.com or email Embry at gwizzlies@msn.com or visit www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
