Georgia Firebirds join the Arena Development League
Published on September 19, 2016 under National Arena League (NAL) News Release
The Georgia Firebirds are proud to announce plans to join the Arena Development League (ADL) for the 2017 season. The move comes after the AIF ceased operations and careful consideration of the organizations long and short term future. In the first season, the team came within one game of making the playoffs.
"We are incredibly excited to bring professional football back to the southwest Georgia community," said Firebirds Owner Darrien Teals. "We want to create something that not only excites the community, but also is able to give back. We are thrilled to be joining a league with a strong model for success and with local rivalries."
