
Genie Bouchard to Miss Scheduled New York Empire Appearance Due to Injury

NEW YORK - The New York Empire presented by Citi announced today that Genie Bouchard will miss her scheduled World TeamTennis presented by GEICO appearance on Thursday, July 26, due to the right-groin injury she suffered while playing in the Swiss Open.
The New York Empire have three home matches remaining this season. The Springfield (Mo.) Lasers visit Court 17 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Wednesday, July 25, the Orange County (Calif.) Breakers on Thursday, July 26 and the Empire close out its home schedule on Thursday, Aug. 2 against the Philadelphia Freedoms. All matches begin at 7 p.m.
