Greensboro Generals News Release
The Greensboro Generals and Roanoke Express play game two in their best-of-five northeast division semi-final series tonight. The Generals pasted the Express 7-2 last night at the Greensboro Coliseum to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Greensboro had a balanced attack last night, getting their seven goals from seven different players. Mike Bayrack and Jay Murphy led the way with a goal and two assists each, while Matt Turek, Sam Ftorek, and Bryan Richardson each posted a goal and one assist. Rod Aldoff and Kevin Grimes tallied the other Generals goals, while Daniel Berthiaume held the fort in net, stonewalling 38 of 40 shots against his former team. The Express got their goals last night from Chad Mazurak and Joe Dusbabek. The winner of this series will advance to the northeast division finals against either the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies or the Trenton Titans (Atlantic City leads that series 1-0).

ABOUT THE GAME
Including yesterday's game, The Generals and Express have met eight times this season. Greensboro is 4-3-1 against Roanoke this season, with wins in each of the last three games, outscoring Roanoke 14-5 in the process. Former Express goaltender Daniel Berthiaume has led the charge against his old team, going 4-1-1 in the season series. NEXT HOME GAME: The northeast division semi-finals moves to Roanoke for game three tomorrow night at 7:35. If necessary, game four will also be in Roanoke on Tuesday night at 7:05. Should a game five also be necessary, it will be played at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough, NC on Wednesday, April 9 at 8:30 p.m. The reason for the venue is a conflict with a previously scheduled event at the Greensboro Coliseum.
