Greensboro Generals News Release
GREENSBORO GENERALS
The Generals defeated the first place Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies 3-1 on the road last Sunday afternoon. Ole Kjenstad put the Generals on the board in the first period for a 1-0 lead. Matt Turek upped the advantage to 2-0 midway through the second period. Atlantic City stormed the Generals in the opening minutes of the third period, getting their only goal to cut the gap to 2-1, but just over a minute later Rod Aldoff connected for his first goal of the season to seal the victory. Daniel Berthiaume played a sensational game in net for the Generals, stopping 32 of 33 shots for the victory.
TRENTON TITANS
The Titans defeated the Roanoke Express 4-3 last night on the road. Trenton jumped out to a 2-0 lead on power play goals from Tyler Beechey and B. J. Kilbourne. Trenton relinquished the shutout midway through the second period, allowing the Express to score a pair of goals to even the score. The Titans regained the lead at 3-2 early in the third period on a Paul Traynor score. Roanoke would retaliate moments later, but the Titans had the last laugh, as Sean Connolly netted the game-winning goal at the 5:45 mark, and the Trenton defense stiffened up late to preserve the victory.
