Safeway is Presenting Sponsor
The Golden Baseball League and Safeway have entered into a League "Presenting Sponsorship." The Golden Baseball League will become the only professional minor league with a presenting sponsor. The "Presenting Sponsorship" is comprised of a variety of League wide programs including "Name Your Team" contest, sponsorship of the Golden Baseball league team mascots and unique promotions designed for Safeway Club Cardholders. Under the terms of the agreement, Safeway will have the exclusive rights to these programs and specific on-field activities. Safeway will receive "Presenting Sponsor" credit on all Golden Baseball marketing and community affairs materials and will have a major presence in each Golden Baseball League ballpark. Golden Baseball League teams will have the opportunity to work with their local Safeway stores in promoting the League and offer Safeway employees the opportunity to volunteer for various activities.

8th Charter City - Tijuana, Mexico
The Golden Baseball League has reached a joint operating agreement with Los Toros de Tijuana professional baseball organization to become the league's eighth charter team. Los Toros de Tijuana will play their home games in the City of Tijuana.
This is truly an historic moment for professional baseball in North America. It is the first time in 48 years that a professional baseball league has successfully operated teams in the United States and Mexico. Last year, the Toros led all minor league baseball in total attendance with over 600,000 fans. The GBL is excited to have the passionate and energetic fans of the Toros as part of the Golden Baseball League.
With our first international agreement, we will have a version of the website in Spanish for all our Spanish speaking fans.
GBL's First Player Tryout
The League's first player tryout is scheduled for December 14th and 15th at Goodwin Field on the campus of Cal State Fullerton. Player contracts will be offered as the league begins to prepare its rosters for the 2005 season.
Team Managers are Hired
During November, Kevin Outcalt, League Commissioner, completed the team manager hiring process for our charter teams. Almost all the GBL Managers have MLB experience and several are all-stars. We are fortunate to have such an esteemed group of baseball professionals as part of the League. We feel strongly that such talented managers will attract the highest level of talent for the League.
