
Gatewood Reaches Donation Goal at MDA "Lockup"

PHOENIX - Rattler wide receiver/defensive back Randy Gatewood reached his donation goal at the Muscular Dystrophy Association's "Lockup" at Jackson's on Third today.
Gatewood, who served a one-hour "jail sentence", exceeded his goal of $3,000 in "bail". All proceeds, which were donated by Rattler fans and staff, went to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
"I was glad that I could be a part of such a special event," said Gatewood. "It was good to see this many people in the community come out for a cause like this."
About MDA: MDA is a voluntary health agency working to defeat neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive services, and far-reaching professional and public health education. MDA maintains a clinic for area adults and children affected by neuromuscular diseases at the Wilmington Health Associates Medical Clinic. The Association's programs are funded almost entirely by individual private contributors.
