GARY, Indiana (December 1, 2006) "" The Gary Steelheads announced today that they will be holding USBL Open Tryouts on Saturday, December 9th and Sunday, 10th at the Courts of Northwest Indiana in Valparaiso, Indiana.
The camp will be conducted by new Steelheads' Head Coach, Cliff Levingston. The cost for participation in the camp is $100 in advance, and $125 at the door.
The Courts of Northwest Indiana is a new complex located at the intersection of U.S. Highways 6 and 49. The 60,000-square foot facility was opened in September and is considered to be one of the premiere facilities in the region. It features four basketball courts and three tennis courts.
The Gary Steelheads recently joined the United States Basketball League and will begin play in the USBL in early April. The league draft is tentatively scheduled for April 3rd. Last season, the Steelheads logged their most successful season in franchise history, culminating in a trip to the CBA Finals.
