Published on May 23, 2008 under American Hockey League (AHL)
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins News Release
This one's for all the marbles! The Penguins and Portland Pirates will face off in Game Seven of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night, May 24 at 7:05pm. The winner of that game will advance to the Calder Cup Finals.
The Penguins forced the decisive seventh game with an incredible comeback on Friday night. The home club trailed by three goals with less than a minute to play in the second period, only to rattle off four straight tallies, including a Connor James goal 20 seconds into overtime, to post a 4-3 win in one of the most exciting games in team history!
The Penguins have an all-time record of 3-0 in Playoff Game Sevens, having defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in both the 2004 and 2006 East Division Semifinals, and the Hartford Wolf Pack in the 2004 Eastern Conference Finals.
We need your help in making that record 4-0! Get your tickets now on-line at www.ticketmaster.com, at any TicketMaster location, by phone at 693-4100 or at the Wachovia Arena Box Office.
Season ticket holders can call their account representatives to reserve seats for Saturday night's all-important game.
