The Force (10-2) are set to play their last Olympic contender opponent of the 2008 season. Currently, the team is coming off a great weekend against the New England Riptide. The Force played their rival last week in a four-game series. The Force beat New England four times, claiming the sweep. The Force offense is strong right now, as six players are hitting at least .300. Kellie Wilkerson is leading the offense, boasting a very impressive .545 average. In 22 at-bats, Wilkerson has 12 hits and 10 RBI. Behind Wilkerson, Sharonda McDonald and Chelsea Spencer have been huge offensive contributors as well. Between the two, they have contributed 26 of the Force's hits. On the mound, the Force has seen some great pitching performances from some new faces. Rookies, Katie Burkhart and Megan Gibson have both picked up two wins. Gibson (2-0), who has struck out 15 batters, also has yet to give up a run in 14 innings pitched. Burkhart (2-0) has 13 strikeouts and an ERA of 0.50. Veteran, Margo Pruis has picked up three wins and three saves on the young season.
