Indiana Ice News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice will take their shot at a Clark Cup Championship Friday in game four of the five-game series versus the Fargo Force. The puck drops for game four at 8:05 p.m. Friday from the Urban Plains Center in Fargo, N.D., with game five slated for 5:05 p.m. Sunday from the Pepsi Coliseum if necessary.
The Ice took a 2-1 lead in the series with a 6-0 win over the Force in game three. Indy opened the scoring Wednesday with the quickest three goals in Ice playoff history, scoring three goals in 44 seconds in the first period. Those goals marked the first scores to come in the first period in the series, and foreshadowed the offensive extravaganza that the Ice displayed.
Mike Cichy scored four points on the night (2G, 2A), increasing his lead as the USHL's leading playoff scorer with 22 points. He also tied John Kemp (UNO) for most playoff points in franchise history, while goaltender Brett Bennett increased his own Ice record with his eighth win in postseason play.
If a Sunday game five home game is necessary, tickets will go on sale Saturday morning at all Ticketmaster locations including Karma Records and the Pepsi Coliseum and Conseco Fieldhouse box offices, or by calling (317) 239-5151 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets will go on sale for $7 or $11. For all the latest Ice information, please visit www.indianaice.com.
The Indiana Ice is a member of the United States Hockey League, America's only Tier One league.
