MILESTONES

The Chicago Sky won their first WNBA Championship in franchise history.

Candace Parker surpassed Maya Moore for second all-time in WNBA Playoffs history with 383 made field goals. Parker also now ranks fifth in rebounding in WNBA Finals history (118).

Courtney Vandersloot furthered her records for most assists in a single postseason (102) and WNBA Finals (50).

Vandersloot recorded the second-most assists in a WNBA Finals game with 15.

Courtney became the first player to record double figure assists in four consecutive Finals game in the same series, and five-straight games spanning back to the 2014 WNBA Finals. Additionally, she now ranks third all-time in career Finals assists (70).

Brittney Griner recorded her 100th career postseason block, becoming just the second player in league history to eclipse the triple-digit mark (Lisa Leslie, 132).

CHICAGO NOTABLES

In Game Four, the Chicago Sky defeated the Phoenix Mercury, 80-74, clinching the WNBA Finals victory and their first in franchise history.

The game saw six lead changes and eight ties, while the Sky led by as many as 14 points.

Chicago finished on 44.3% (31-70) shooting from the field, 28.0% (7-25) from three, and 84.6% (11-13) at the free throw line.

The Sky totaled 36 rebounds, 26 assists, seven steals, three blocks, 44 points in the paint, and converted 14 points on the Mercury's 15 turnovers.

PHOENIX NOTABLES

Phoenix finished on 41.2% (28-68) shooting from the field, 30.0% (6-20) from distance and 92.3% (12-13) at the free throw line.

The Mercury recorded 34 rebounds, 20 assists, four steals, five blocks, 32 points in the paint, and scored eight points off the Sky's 10 turnovers.

PLAYER NOTABLES

Four Sky players scored in double figures in tonight's game (Quigley, Parker, Copper, Vandersloot), while three Mercury players finished in double digits (Griner, Taurasi, Diggins-Smith).

Allie Quigley led the Chicago to their first-ever WNBA Championship finishing with 26 points on 64.3% (9-14) shooting from the field, 50.0% (5-10) from three-point range, and a perfect 3-3 at the free throw line.

Candace Parker posted a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds (tied for fifth-most in Finals history), securing her second-career WNBA Championship.

In Game Four, Kahleah Copper recorded 10 points and was awarded the 2021 WNBA Finals MVP. Copper averaged 17.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in the four-game series.

Courtney Vandersloot combined for a near triple-double of 14 points, 15 assists, and nine rebounds.

Brittney Griner posted a game-high 28 points on 63.2% (12-19) shooting from the floor.
