Fury Prepare for AFL Quarterfinal Round of Playoffs

Auburn Hills, Mich. -The Detroit Fury of the Arena Football League will be traveling to Tampa, Florida for their quarterfinal match-up with the Tampa Bay Storm after a thrilling, last-second victory over the Grand Rapids Rampage in the Wild Card round of the ArenaBowl playoffs.

The Fury and Storm met earlier in the season, where the Fury fell short on a fourth quarter comeback, 62-60. The Fury have never defeated the Storm, giving the Storm a 3-0 series advantage. The two teams have never clashed in the post-season.

Game action will be carried live on NBC beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Before departing for Tampa on Friday afternoon, the Fury will be practicing at the Shelby Soccer City in Utica at the following times:

Wednesday, May 28, 2003 - 8:00-9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2003 - 8:00-9:15 a.m.

Last week, the 10th seeded Fury won their first playoff game in franchise history with a thrilling 55-54 last second victory over the 7th seeded Grand Rapids Rampage.
