Cedar Rapids, IA - Game four of the six-game series was suspended with nobody out and a runner on first in the bottom of the third inning with a Kernels 2-0 lead.

Play will resume on Saturday at 4:35 p.m. followed by a seven-inning game as part of a doubleheader.

A 38-minute rain delay pushed Friday's first pitch to 7:13 p.m. CT.

One night after the Kernels scored three runs on four hits in the first inning, Cedar Rapids plated two runs on three hits in the opening frame.

Eduardo Tait and Danny De Andrade hit back-to-back one-out solo home runs to give the Kernels a 2-0 lead.

The Chiefs had opportunities offensively but stranded one runner in each of the first three innings.

With a runner on first and nobody out in the bottom of the third inning, heavy rain prompted the game's second rain delay of the night before play was ultimately suspended until Saturday.

Through two innings, Peoria starter Jack Martinez had allowed two runs on five hits while walking one and striking out one.

Cedar Rapids starter Dasan Hill struck out six and walked none through his first three frames.
