The Erie Freeze used three second half touchdown receptions from Darmel Whitfield to break a 21-21 tie at halftime and propel the 6-1 Erie Freeze to a 58-28 victory over the Miami Valley Silverbacks in American Indoor Football League action. Whitfield connected with David Dinkins on receptions of 4, 29, and 35 yards while Roosevelt "The Secretary of Defense" Benjamin had an interception and fumble recovery for the "Fearsome Frozen" defense.
The Freeze travel to Syracuse next Saturday to take on the Soldiers.
