May 26, 2005 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA)
Erie Freeze News Release

(Erie, PA – May 26, 2005) In honor of all the tremendous sacrifices that our country's military personnel have endured to protect our freedom throughout our country's history, the Erie Freeze of the Atlantic Indoor Football league is offering special discounted tickets to all current military personnel, Veteran's, and their family members for the Saturday May 28, 7:05 PM contest with the Raleigh Rebels at the Erie Civic Center.

Erie Freeze owner David Hodas released a statement, "As a small token of gratitude to all members of the Military on this Memorial Day Weekend, the Freeze are offering a $ 2.00 discount per ticket to past and present members of the military and their families. On this special weekend, we should all remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice so we may keep our way of life. The Freeze sincerely hope that the area's Vets, active military, and their families will enjoy a fabulous night of football as guests of honor of the Freeze."

To receive the ticket discount, Military personnel, Veteran's, and families with members currently serving around the world should bring military or Veteran ID's, or proof of service to the Erie Civic Center Box office to receive a $ 2.00 discount for any reserved ticket for the May 28 game. The discount applies to all ID holders and one guest, or children/grandchildren of military person under the age of 14 years old.

Head Coach and General Manager Mike Esposito added, "We want to thank the fans of the Freeze for your support throughout the season. We are so proud of our fan base that allowed us to draw 1,500 or so fans for our last game with only a few days notice. Due to popular demand, and the fact that our "Freezer" endzone section is completely sold out for our game against the Rebels, the Freeze has added two rows of $ 5.00 tickets at the top of the Civic Center. I would have fans get those tickets early because our phones have been ringing constantly since we made the announcement.

Tickets can be purchased at the Civic Center box office or online at www.eriefreeze.com.

The Erie Freeze currently hold a 4-1record and are in first place in the Atlantic Indoor Football League. The game against Raleigh begins a five game home stand for the Freeze that could determine home field advantage for the AIFL playoffs.
