Erie Freeze News Release
The Erie Freeze of the Atlantic Indoor Football League have announced the addition of two very special promotions tied into one big event at the Tullio Arena on Friday morning, May 20.
Due to scheduling conflicts from the start of the season, the Erie Freeze will gain one extra home game this season by hosting the Carolina Ghostriders in a special Kids/Businesspersons Day 10:35 AM kickoff on May 20.
Students, teachers, administrators, and all school personnel are invited to participate in a day of Health and Wellness courtesy of the Freeze organization for only $ 5 per ticket. Freeze Coach and General Manager Mike Esposito would like local schools to hop on the tickets and use the day as a field trip. Esposito added, Ive been in other areas of the country where this type of event is the highlight of a school year. The place is always packed and the students can get close to the players. Its an opportunity for interaction that they might not have otherwise. Schools interested should call the Freeze at (814) 454-0200 for more details.
While the Freeze promotes education, they are also asking local businesses and employees to play a little hooky on the same day. Esposito added, No, were not leaving the adults out of this one. For only $ 7, an adult can stop in, watch the game, have lunch, and return to work by 1 PM.
The additional home date literarily was offered to the Freeze over Mothers Day weekend and Esposito jumped at the chance, Ive already said that we have the largest home field advantage in the AIFL with all of our fans. What coach wouldnt want another opportunity to play at home? I know its short notice but I would hope that the area will back their team.
For more information call the Freeze office at (814) 454-0200 or for tickets call 453-7117 or log on the Freeze website at www.eriefreeze.com.
