Fort Wayne Freedom News Release
As the 2004 season approaches, the Fort Wayne Freedom continues to make improvements to the organization. Today the club announced the addition of Mike Quick to the coaching staff.
"We feel that Mike will compliment the current staff very well," commented Head Coach Rich Huff. "He's got a track record of success and a good football mind."
Quick is currently defensive coordinator at Pioneer HS where his defenses have consistently ranked in the top five. Prior to heading to Pioneer, Coach Quick served as the head coach at Frontier High School where in three years he took a 2-7 team to a #2 state ranking. He was also named Indiana Football Coaches' Association Region 4 All-Star Coach in 1997.
Quick will serve as defensive coordinator with the Freedom and will handle both the offensive and defensive lineman position groups. "Having a coach dedicated to working with the line is a plus for us, allowing each coach to concentrate on specific positions more closely," said Huff.
Huff also noted that assistant Paul Pierucki is returning for his second season with the Freedom. He worked primarily as an offensive assistant in 2003.
Season tickets for 2004 are on sale now and start at just $50 per seat for a seven game slate. Call 260-422-2293 to select your seats today.
