Boston Pride News Release
Boston Pride stars Kaleigh Fratkin and Jillian Dempsey will coach a youth clinic co-hosted by Elite Hockey Science on August 10 in Boston as part of the Jr. NWHL Summer Clinic series.
The clinic will use the Elite Hockey Science curriculum, which is progression-based and focuses on simplifying skating, stickhandling, passing and shooting for youth players. The hour-long event will be held at Edge Sports Center in Bedford, Mass. at 9:50 am and is open to players ages 6-14. All clinic participants will receive an NWHL and Elite Hockey Science co-branded jersey. Register here.
"Elite Hockey Science and the STEP Curriculum is what I've used my entire hockey career to develop my skills, and increase my shot velocity, accuracy, and deception," said Fratkin. "Ron Johnson, the founder of Elite Hockey Science and creator of STEP, has allowed me this opportunity to share both Elite Hockey Science and STEP to female hockey players."
The clinic is part of the Jr. NWHL Summer Clinic Series, a slate of events for youth hockey players in various markets across the country. The series began with a clinic in North Carolina in June coached by Colleen Murphy of the Metropolitan Riveters, and also includes an event in Florida in cooperation with the Tampa Bay Lightning, as well as clinics on Long Island and in Seattle.
