December 2, 2013 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release
BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, December 2nd, 2013 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today announced that Fran̮̤ois Brassard of the Quebec Remparts is the VAUGHN QMJHL Goaltender of the Month for November.
The Gatineau native, a sixth round pick of the Ottawa Senators in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, was outstanding. He registered four wins while posting a 1.90 goals-against-average and .939 save percentage along with two shutouts. Moreover, he established a new QMJHL record by blanking his opponents during a span of 212 minutes and 10 seconds, surpassing the mark previously established by Mathieu Chouinard in 1997-98 (Shawinigan|207 minutes, 4 seconds).
After a slow start, Brassard has helped the Remparts make some headway in the standings. Quebec sits third in the TELUS Eastern Division just one point behind the Rimouski Oc̮̩anic.
The VAUGHN QMJHL Goaltender of the Month for November has registered 64 career regular season wins.
