Foxhounds Announce 2007 Promotional Schedule

AIKEN, SC - The Aiken Foxhounds, presented by FineDeering Development Group, are proud to announce their 2007 promotional lineup. The promotional schedule will start off with a bang on Opening Night (May 24) with the first professional baseball game in Aiken and just the beginning of an exciting promotional line-up. On Opening Night the anticipation is over and fans will be treated to the pageantry of Opening Day as well as a Commemorative Ticket Holder giveaway, a performance from the CSRA Showgirls and the band Lo Down Brown will be performing live. The team will be unveiled for the first time with All-Star Introductions as well as a Post Game Fireworks Extravaganza. You don't want to miss this first ever game, so get there early to see all the other pre-game activities in this must-see event!

The 2007 theme night schedule begins with a Memorial Day Celebration on Saturday, May 25th and the Foxhounds hope to curse the Redfish when they come to town on June 1st with Pirates of the Carolina's: "The Curse of the Redfish" Night. Friday, June 8th is Luau Night and dogs can bring their owners to the game for the 1st Annual Bark in the Park on Wednesday, June 13th and August 1st. On Friday, June 22nd fans can dress up as their favorite super hero when the Foxhounds host Super Hero Night: 'Not Your Average Joe" and their in state rivals the Anderson Joes. Friday, July 6th we will celebrate "Hats off to the Red, White and Blue". The Foxhounds and Papa Russ's BBQ will host the Aiken Chamber of Commerce Business after Hours on Thursday, July 26th. Friday, July 27th the Foxhounds will sport Negro League jerseys and pants, while paying tribute to Negro League Baseball. On Friday, August 10th the Foxhounds will go back several years with Golden Oldies: "Turn Back the Calendar to 1957" Night. Friday, August 10th attend the game dressed up as your favorite story book character on Story Book Night and Saturday, August 11th kids can have fun at the ballpark before returning to school with Back to School Night presented by Cedar Creek Church. Wednesday, August 22nd is the last game of the 2007 season and we would like to thank the fans for their support throughout the season with Fan Appreciation Day.

"Fans can expect to come out to the ballpark and have fun every night. We are committed to bringing family entertainment to the Aiken community and this year's promotional schedule is a reflection of that." said Foxhounds General Manager Bradley Bell.

Other exciting special events include Special Appearance by: Rally (Saturday, June 2), Krazy Characters (Friday, July 6), Mayberry Deputy (Saturday, July 7). Friday, July 13th acts from the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus will be on hand presented by the USCA Convocation Center

A strong line-up of giveaways are set including: Magnet Schedules presented by Hunts Brothers Pizza (May 25 & 26), Team Poster presented by Innovative Solutions (June 2), Golf Towel presented by Bridgestone Firestone (June 9), Logo Baseball presented by Bridgestone Firestone (June 23), T-Shirt presented by Sleep Inn (July 14), Soft Cooler presented by Budweiser (July 28), Mini Bat presented by ASCO Valve (August 11), Baseball Card Strip (August 17), and a Backpack presented by Cedar Creek Church (August 18).

Weekly promotions will keep fans coming back for more. The week starts off with Dollar Mondays presented by Money Talks Cellular (selected concessions $1.00 throughout the game and stop by a Money Talks Cellular location and ask how you can get into a Monday game for only $1.00) and "2 For 1" Ticket Tuesday sponsored by the Aiken Standard (fans bringing their Aiken Standard to the box office receive 2 tickets for the price of 1). On Wednesday we are guaranteeing that the Foxhounds will win with Guaranteed Win on Wednesday (if you attend a Wednesday game and the Foxhounds lose you may attend your next Foxhounds game for FREE). On Thursday you can begin getting ready for the weekend with Turn'em Up Thursday presented by Budweiser (fans can enjoy drink specials on beer and soda throughout the game). Friday is a bang with Friday Night Lights (post game fireworks at the conclusion of every Friday Home Game). On Saturday bring the entire family out to the ballpark for Family Fun Day presented by Burger King (once the gates open your favorite Foxhounds players will be on hand for a 20 minute autograph signing and after the game kids 12 and under can run the same bases as the Foxhounds with Kids Run the Bases).
