
Four Paints Named Postseason All-Stars

The Prospect League announced its 2015 Postseason All-Star Teams and Awards Thursday afternoon and four Chillicothe Paints were honored: Deion Tansel, Tanner Allison, Derek Moore, and Derek Hendrixson.
Deion Tansel - Shortstop - University of Toledo
Tansel was also named a mid-season all-star for his efforts at shortstop for the Paints. The reigning MAC Defensive Player of the Year was also good at the plate, hitting .346 with 17 doubles, a pair of triples, and 25 RBIs. He also stole 38 bases. In three playoff games, Tansel hit .308 (4-13) and stole three bases.
Tanner Allison - Left-Handed Starting Pitcher - Western Michigan University
Allison started ten games for the Paints during the regular season this summer and earned an 8-0 record with an ERA of 1.07. He struck out 56 batters through 58 2/3 innings. In the playoffs, Allison was 1-0 in one start. He allowed just three hits over six innings and struck out 4. He is also the recipient of this season's Prospect League Pitcher of the Year Award.
Derek Moore - Right-Handed Starting Pitcher - Shawnee State University
Moore made 11 starts for the Paints during the regular season and went 3-1 with a 1.76 ERA over 66 1/3 innings pitched.
Derek Hendrixson - Galen Woods Fireman of the Year - Heidelberg University
Hendrixson went 3-3 with 17 Saves for the Paints this summer and recorded a regular-season ERA of just 1.83. Through 49 innings, he struck out 59 batters and walked just seven.
