Four Drive Academy Youth Camps to Return this Summer

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Drive, the official NBA G League Affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, will once again host four separate Drive Academy youth camps this summer across West Michigan.

Each camper will receive a special Drive Academy t-shirt and four tickets to a 2019-20 Drive game, with snacks and sports drinks beings provided daily. Registration is now open for all four camps and children can be registered at NBAGrandRapids.com.

The first Drive Academy will take place at Holland's Civic Center July 8th-11th; the second Drive Academy will then be held at the David D. Huntington YMCA July 15th-18th; the next Drive Academy will then travel to the Byron Center Courthouse July 22nd-25th; and the final Drive Academy will conclude at the Mary Free Bed YMCA August 5th-8th.

Each camp is Monday-Thursday from 8am-noon and targeted for boys and girls ages 8-14. All skill levels are welcome! Each of the four camps will feature intense station work every morning, with drills being taught by Drive staff members. The basic fundamentals of basketball along with individual improvement will be taught in a fun and exciting environment. There will be various individual and team contests throughout the week with awards being given out. Team concepts will be taught through 5-on-5 scrimmages and lectures.
