Florida Tropics SC News Release
LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Tropics forward Bruno Enrique has been named of the Major Arena Soccer League's All-Rookie team for the 2021 season in vote of players, coaches and league personnel
Enrique was one of the Tropics leading scorers on its United Premier Soccer League outdoor team this past fall, including five-goals in back to back games in early November, and he made his MASL debut the first weekend in January when Florida hosted the St. Louis Ambush.
Enrique appeared in nine total games this season - including game two of the team's semi-final playoff matchup against the San Diego Sockers - recording three goals and two assists. He also recorded three blocked shots.
"Bruno showed right from the start of training camp a good knowledge of the indoor game," Tropics Coach Clay Roberts said. "He can use his size to his advantage, as well as his one-v-one skills and should have a very bright future with us going forward. The indoor game really fits him. "
Collegiately, Enrique had 10 goals for Lindsey Wilson College in 2019, when that school went to the NAIA Final Four. In 2018, he played for Roberts at Southeastern University in Lakeland.
The MASL will announce additional individual award winners later this week. For more information, visit www.maslsoccer.com or www.fltropics.com.
