London Lightning News Release

(LONDON, ON) - The London Lightning are excited to announce that we have re-signed American forward, Cameron Forte for the 2022 National Basketball League of Canada season.

Forte is back with the Bolts after finishing playing the final four-games of the 2019-20 season before the pandemic shut down. In Five games, Forte averaged a league-high 29 points and 7 rebounds per game. You could say that scoring is his "forte" as he scored 19 or more points in all four of his games including games with 31 and 41 points respectively.

Since his graduation from Portland State, Cameron has had an all-star career in countries around the world including: Hungary, Mexico, Iceland, Uruguay and Taiwan. After his brief stint with the Lightning, Forte has played in the CEBL, the Philippines Basketball Association and most recently in Uruguay's LUB.

Cam Forte came into our league late last season and dominated opposing teams offensively. He was putting up prolific scoring numbers for us before the shutdown and I look forward to having Cam back with us this season and seeing what he can do during a full season." - Head Coach Doug Plumb

"I'm super excited to be returning to London with a couple of other players we had previously before COVID hit. The brotherhood and the dedication from the staff for excellence is the reason I decided to return." - Cameron Forte
