
Former VooDoo Player Returns to New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (September 10, 2013) - The Arena Football League (AFL) has assigned DB Gladel Brutus to the New Orleans VooDoo, announced the VooDoo front office on Tuesday morning.
Brutus (5-11, 180, Benedict College) was previously a member of the New Orleans VooDoo during his rookie season in 2012 where he recorded 44.5 tackles and two interceptions.
He played with the Trenton Steels of the Southern Indoor Football League (SIFL) in 2011. In his first season of professional football with the Steels, Brutus registered 43 total tackles, 20 pass breakups and 9 interceptions.
The Neptune, New Jersey native attended Benedict College from 2006-10, redshirting his freshman season. Brutus attended Neptune High School where he only played one year of football, suiting up his senior season. In his lone season on the prep level, Brutus totaled 60 tackles and four interceptions.
