
Former Storm Players Advance in AHL Postseason (Alumni Update)

Kearney, Neb. - Former Tri-City Storm standouts Pheonix Copley and Trevor Moore are set to start the second round of the AHL's Calder Cup Playoffs Friday. The goalie Copley led the Hershey Bears to a do-or-die Game 5 win against rival Lehigh Valley with 28 saves on 30 shots to advance Sunday. Moore has a goal in four games for the Toronto Marlies and the squad is in Syracuse to face the Crunch this weekend.
In the NHL, Jaden Schwartz is tied for St. Louis Blues in playoff points lead (7). The Blues trail the Nashville Predators, 3-1, in the best-of-seven second-round series.
In the ECHL, four former Storm players (and former broadcaster Jared Shafran) are still alive.
On May 4 at 7 p.m., the Storm will hold a 2017 Draft Party at the Viaero Center open to season ticket holders. Tri-City will raffle off three big prizes: a vacation (hotel and plane tickets) to Las Vegas, a trip (hotel and game tickets) to the College World Series and tickets to a Kansas City Royals game. Tri-City will also raffle Storm prize packs and have free food and drinks served.
