Grand Rapids Rampage News Release

Willis Marshall, who began his Arena Football career in 2001 with the Grand Rapids Rampage, was named the ArenaBowl XIX Offensive Player and Ironman of the Game in the Colorado Crush's 51-48 win over the Georgia Force on Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas.

Marshall finished the game with four rushes for 12 yards and three TDs on the ground, caught six passes for 111 yards and TD through the air, had one kickoff return for 22 yards and added 4.5 tackles on defense.

Before signing as a free agent with the Crush in 2003, he spent three seasons with the Rampage and played in 42 total games with Grand Rapids. Marshall still ranks high in the Rampage's all-time record book. He is fifth in all receiving categories with 190 receptions for 2,317 yards and 35 touchdowns. His 4,080 all-purpose yards are the fourth-most in team history.

Marshall also won an ArenaBowl title in his rookie season with the Rampage in 2001 and adds this title to an impressive resume that includes a high school state championship, three NCAA Division I-AA titles, a Grey Cup championship in the CFL and now two ArenaBowl titles. He became only the second player in ArenaBowl history to earn more than one recognition in the same title game joining Tampa Bay's Lawrence Samuels who was the MVP and Ironman of the ArenaBowl XVII.

2006 season tickets are now on sale. Call 616.559.1871 or log on to RampageFootball.com for more information.
