Bloomington, IL - Former Bloomington Edge wide receiver Orlandus Harris has worked out with the Chicago Bears, the team announced earlier today.

On Monday of this week, the Bears invited seven players in pursuit of an NFL reserves/futures contract, including Harris, to take part in workouts in front of Bears scouting personnel at Halas Hall. Of the seven players invited, five had previous experience in developmental leagues such as the Canadian Football League or a league a part of the indoor football system.

Harris (6'1, 200 - Eastern Kentucky) suited up for the Edge the past two seasons. In 14 appearances for the Edge last season, Harris recorded 70 receptions for 830 yards and 18 touchdowns, all three stats being team-highs with his reception and receiving marks being fourth highest in Champions Indoor Football. Harris added an additional 492 yards and 19 kick returns.

After the 2016 season, Harris signed with the Spokane Empire of the Indoor Football League.
