Cleveland City Stars News Release
The Booster Club has a 20+ year history of supporting professional soccer in Cleveland, first with the original Cleveland Force, then with the 3 time champions the Cleveland Crunch, and finally with the new Cleveland Force team. Many of their members also supported the Cleveland Caps for their two seasons.
"Creating a good and excited Fan Base, especially during the foundation of a new Franchise, is one of the major keys to our success. With the partnership to this well established and experienced Booster Club, I am convinced that it will be a great opportunity for all our fans to be even closer to the team and all our players." commented Mark Geissbauer, Stars General Manager earlier today.
Booster Club activities include Welcome and Holiday parties with the team as well as an End of Season Banquet where each player will be presented with an individualized scrapbook. Traveling with the Team on roads trips, by car, bus, and plane, not only to cheer but to socialize with away team's fan clubs and share the love for Soccer. Each Member will also receive a regular newsletter and is invited to the monthly Fan Club meetings with the participation of Cleveland City Stars players & coaches.
"In the past, we also held an auction of soccer memorabilia each season and donated a large portion of the proceeds to help bring underprivileged kids to a home game. As complies perfectly to the Stars Vision to support inner-city children, we are excited to do our part for the City of Cleveland aswell." added Joan Ibbett, President of the Booster Club.
