June 22, 2010 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Chicago Rush News Release

Former Chicago Bears linemen Tom Thayer and Jay Hilgenberg will sign autographs Saturday night at the Chicago Rush game against the Orlando Predators, the Rush announced today.

Thayer and Hilgenberg will be stationed at the Gridiron Greats Assistant Fund booth in the Allstate Arena concourse beginning at 6 p.m. when the arena doors open. They will sign autographs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Fans will have the option of getting either an autograph or a photo taken with Thayer and Hilgenberg - limited to one per fan - by making a $5 donation to the GGAF.

The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund (GGAF) is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) corporation, established to provide financial assistance and coordinate social services to dire need retired NFL players who are pioneers of the game and have greatly contributed to the NFL's status as the most popular sport in America.

Thanks to Mike Ditka's involvement as owner of the Rush and member of the GGAF's Board of Directors, Gridiron Greats has a presence at each Rush home game, staffing a booth in the concourse with GGAF merchandise for sale to benefit the charity. In addition, GGAF has had former NFL stars such as Dan Hampton, Keith Van Horne, Emery Moorhead, Robbie Gould and Kurt Becker make appearances to sign autographs throughout the season.

Good seats remain available for Saturday's game at Allstate Arena. Fans wishing to purchase tickets should call Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or visit the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets - which range in price from $10 to $60 - also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
