Wichita Force News Release

WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Force has announced the signing of wide receiver DaRay Crawford from Virginia University of Lynchburg.

Crawford (6'3, 230) appeared in 32 games for the Dragons (11'-15'). In his senior season with the Dragons, Crawford appeared in 8 games and tallied 54 catches for 540 yards and 4 touchdowns. Crawford had his best year in 2013 as a junior, catching 63 passes for 800 yards and 7 touchdowns in 8 games. Crawford finished his collegiate career with 182 catches for 2,170 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Crawford is the third rookie receiver signed to compliment returning starters Clarence Anderson and Brett Soft. He'll compete in training camp with fellow newcomers Darrell Freeman and Torrey Gill as a potential starter at wide receiver for the Force. Crawford is a big, physical receiver who will be a matchup problem for many defensive backs. Crawford is a good blocker as well, and could be a factor in the Force running game.

Season tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.selectaseat.com or by calling 316.425.3009. For the latest player signings and more information on the Force, visit www.wichitaforce.com, like the team on Facebook, or follow them on Twitter (@wichitaforce).
