Force Seeking Women of Inspiration
September 15, 2011 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Georgia Force News Release
Duluth, GA (September 14, 2011) - In addition to housing some of the most ardent Arena Football League fans in the nation, Gwinnett County is home to scores of citizens deserving of recognition. With this in mind, the Force are seeking nominations for women to be honored as part of their first Women of Inspiration Night during the 2012 season.
"We have a great list of candidates already," said Force president Cory Howerton, "but you can never have too much input when you're talking about the women who are making a real difference in our fans' lives."
Fans can submit potential honorees' names, along with a brief paragraph on why they feel their candidate is worthy of recognition, to contactus@georgiaforce.com. A number of women will be honored at a home game to be determined during the 2012 season. Nominations will be accepted through the end of February.
"We take a great deal of pride in the fact that we play in Gwinnett County," said Howerton, "and we want to make sure our fans have a chance to share in that."
