Force Seek Home Field Redemption Win in Chicago Eagles Contest

WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Force (5-2) will return to INTRUST Bank Arena on Saturday to take on the Chicago Eagles (2-5) for the pair's second matchup of the 2016 season.

In the first contest for the squads, the Force returned to Wichita with a 54-45 victory over the Eagles. The Force quickly took a 14-0 lead over the Eagles in the first quarter with RB Quentin Benning score on a 2-yard and 3-yard run respectively.

The Force managed the maintained the lead throughout the contest but the Eagles stayed on the Force's lead and eventually evened the score in the third. The pair continued to keep the score tight, eventually down to a two-point lead late in the fourth, but the Force managed complete a 3-yard pass for a touchdown to seal the win.

On Sunday, the Force announced the team's QB Stephen Panasuk signed with AFL's Cleveland Gladiators and will depart from the team immediately. Panasuk emerged into the starting role after going six-for-six for two touchdowns and 106 passing yards in the Force's season debut. From that point on, Panasuk led the Force to the current season record and recorded an astonishing 31 passing touchdowns in seven games.

In replacement, the Force has signed WR/QB Jeffrey Legree and QB David Olson. Legree had a short stint with the American Football League's Central Florida Jags. Olson, a recent graduated of Clemson University, played spent four seasons at Stanford University where he graduated and transferred to the Tigers to use his last season of eligibility.

Force Player to Watch: DB Elbert Mack

Mack, a seven season veteran of the NFL, has only played in two contests for the Force this season due to an undisclosed injury but has made his mark since the season debut.

Against the Salina Liberty in Week No. 1, Mack recorded two interceptions for 61 yards including one resulting in a touchdown. He has also recorded eight total tackles on the year.

Eagles Player to Watch: DB Calvin Gant

Playing in only five games for the Eagles, Gant has recorded 28 tackles, three tackles for loss, two interceptions, one fumble return for a touchdown, and has 179 all-purpose yards.

In Week No. 9, Gant was voted CIF Defensive Player of the Week for his role in the team's 27-50 loss to the Omaha Beef. Gant recorded 14 total tackles including 13 solo and three tackles for a loss.
