
Force Prepare to Take Flight on Eagles

WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Force (2-0) will travel to Illiana, Ill. to take on the Chicago Eagles (0-2) on Friday at the UIC Pavilion. This will be the first time the two teams have met since Eagles joined the league this season.
The Force come off a 58-29 win over the Duke City Gladiators last week to give the team an undefeated start to the season. Force fans got their first home glimpse of QB Stephen Panasuk as he completed 15 of 21 passes for 175 yards and six touchdowns. He finished the game with no interceptions along with recording one rushing touchdown of his own.
In the Eagles' last game, the team battled the Salina Liberty where the contest went into overtime. The Eagles managed to stop the Liberty in the extra period gaining possession for an attempt to take the win. In the series, Liberty DB Dontr'a Matthews intercepted the Eagles' pass and returned it for a touchdown for the win dropping the Eagles to 0-2.
"I'm excited where we are as a team, but I'm not satisfied," WR Clarence Anderson said. "We are ways away from playing our best but we are working extremely hard and getting where we need to be."
Force Player to Watch: QB Stephen Panasuk
After successful performances in the Force's first two games of the season, Panasuk has completed 20 of 28 passes for 281 yards and eight touchdowns with no thrown interceptions. He also has recorded one rushing touchdown.
Panasuk is quickly emerging as an offensive leader for the Force and will attempt to secure the undefeated record this weekend.
Eagles Player to Watch: RB Calvin Phillips
In the team's 39-41 loss against Sioux City, Phillips recorded 122 net rushing yards on 17 carries averaging 7.2 yards per carry. He finished the night with three rushing touchdowns. Standing at 6'3 and weighing in at 220 lbs., Phillips will be looked to in the Eagles' offense to plow through the Force's defensive line bring home the team's first win.
