Force fall in final game against Chicago

Philadelphia Force News Release
Allentown, Pennsylvania -The Philadelphia Force (13-26) of National Pro Fastpitch lost the third and final game of the series to the first place Chicago Bandits (29-9), 4-1 on Wednesday, August 16th at ECTB Stadium at Bicentennial Park. Stephanie VanBrakle took the loss for the Force, dropping to 5-9 on the season, while Gina Oaks improved to 9-3 on the season. Jaime Dacey led the Force offensively with two hits on the night.
The Force had the opportunity to score in the bottom of the first inning. Carri Leto led off with a one-out triple before Chelsea Spencer reached first on an error and Jenna Hall walked to load the bases. The Force were unable to capitalize on their base runners, as Oaks induced a strikeout and a pop up.
The Bandits were the first to score on the night when they took the lead 3-0 in the fourth inning. Trena Peel was hit by pitch, Nicole Trimboli followed with a walked and Mackenzie Vandergeest moved Peel and Trimboli into scoring position on her sacrifice bunt. Amanda Williams hit an RBI single to score Peel for the first run of the game. Williams stole second and Selena Collins followed with a double, scoring Trimboli and Williams as the Bandits took the lead 3-0.
In the fifth inning the Force loaded the bases after Dacey singled and Oaks walked two Force batters. The Force got on the score board when Spencer was hit by a pitch to bring in Dacey. With the bases loaded and one out, the Force were unable to score once again, and the Bandits stayed on top for good, 4-1.
The Force will play the Connecticut Brakettes for their last three home games beginning on Monday, August 21st at 7:00 PM, followed by a double header on Tuesday, August 22nd. Games on Tuesday are slated for 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM and tickets are good for both games.
