Philadelphia Force News Release
Allentown, PA - The Philadelphia Force is pleased to announce the hiring of Mental Game Coach, Jen Croneberger. Jen's extensive training in mind-body fitness and holistic health, as well as business and team leadership, is a great addition to the Force family.
Jen has a long list of education and certifications in multiple fields pertaining to athletic development. She is currently a varsity softball coach at Unionville High School, an assistant softball coach at Ursinus College, and is the Founder and CEO of Excellence Training Camps, Inc. Most of her last 10 years have been spent working with young people, instilling confidence and building strength both mentally and physically.
Croneberger has been continuing her professional education since 1998 when she graduated from the highly accredited invitation-only program with Dr. Patrick Cohn and received her MGCP (Mental Game Coaching Professional) Certification. Jen's extensive training in mind-body athletic development and holistic approaches to sports training as well as business and team leadership, sets her well above the national bar for fitness professionals and business owners/leaders.
In October of 2008 Jen was interviewed for a segment about the mental approach the Phillies faced the night before the World Series started, and was interviewed again in December about the Eagles in the playoffs.
Jen has expressed her eagerness and readiness to join the team,"I believe this team is strong in talent and ability. I am so excited to help round out the mental toughness piece to help give them the whole package. The Force will certainly be a team to watch this season, as the management has taken steps to add much depth and talent to the already strong group in place. Thanks for the opportunity to bring what I do to the organization. I feel confident it will only add positively to the fantastic staff and players."
Jen is currently working on producing articles, books and CDs/DVDs on Athletes and Training the Mind, Body and Spirit on the playing field. Her present project is "Making the Elite Athlete" containing interviews from top names in sports and coaching, including former Olympians, former WNBA players and the winningest coach in college softball history. She has also co-authored a report with Dr. Patrick Cohn, a well-renowned Sports Psychologist about the Six Costly Mental Errors Most Softball and Baseball Players Make When Batting.
Erin Statmore, Assistant General Manager of the Force, says "I believe Jen will help take our 2009 Team to the next level. She has a wealth of knowledge and will be an asset to us. She will begin working with our team as early as Spring Training in preparation for our 40 game season. Jen understands what Coach Franquet's vision is and is ready to take the task on. Mental Training has become such an integral part of off-season and in-season training and we are so lucky to have someone of Jen's caliber on our staff."
The Force looks forward to her experience and her expertise for this upcoming season.
